Using CIPPIEST Model Management of Watsuthimongkhol School

The purpose of this study was to evaluate project of the drug abuse prevention and remedy using CIPPIEST Model management of Watsuthimongkhol School (Stufflebeam & Shinkfield, 2007) through 8 dimensions ; context evaluation, input evaluation, process evaluation. product evaluation, impact evaluation, effectiveness evaluation, sustainability evaluation, and transportability evaluation. The study comprised three stages ; firstly, Pre – Evaluation ; on context and input evaluation using interview form with the samples of 10 committees and, exploration of current conditions and desire conditions of the drug abuse prevention and remedy project with 40 project committees done by analyzed PNImodified, and studied 3 best practice schools. Stage II, On–going evaluation or process evaluation with 40 project committees. Finally, Post Evaluation or summative evaluation on product evaluation, impact evaluation, effectiveness evaluation, sustainability evaluation, and transportability evaluation. Instruments applied consisted of 7 questionnaires, 2 forms of interview, a form of achievement test, and a structured observation form. To analyze data, percentage, mean and standard deviation were employed. To analyze data, percentage, mean, standard deviation and PNImodified (Priority Needs Index) were employed.
The findings were as follows:
Stage I Analysis Results Pre-Project Assessment ;
1. The samples’ opinions on current conditions all aspects were at a moderate level, except, impact aspect was at a much level. But, the opinions on desire conditions were at the highest level.
2. Context and inputs was interviewed by executives and project committees. Summarize the first two issues; improving management and post-evaluation management is rarely systematic, and most students have a sense of drug abuse prevention and remedy, have enthusiasm and behavior change in a better way.
Stage II evaluation during project implementation ;
According to the opinions of the project committees, process overall was at the highest level. When considering each item, the opinions were at a much level to the highest level. Sorting by average rating ascending to descending ; all students are given the opportunity to learn from group work and practice, and the school operates project activities with emphasis on cooperation, co-develop the ideas of parents and community.
Stage III evaluation after project implementation.
3.1 According to the opinions of the project committees after project implementation, all aspects and overall were at the highest level, but the sustainability was at a much level.
3.2 According to the opinions of parents and school board committee, all aspects and overall were at the highest level.
3.3 According to the opinions of the students, all aspects and overall were at the highest level.
3.4 Observation of compliance with project implementation of the assessor and class teacher both overall and individual aspects are at the highest level.
3.5 Results of interviews with parents and school board committee; on the achievement of the objectives of the project implementation:- the community of Baan Phlapom and Ban Khok Chumphon welcomed and supported the drug abuse prevention and remedy project of Watsuthimongkhol School.
On the characteristics of students under the project, they said that the students strongly disseminate knowledge on prevention, and problem solving to the community.
3.6 The results of the satisfaction assessment on the Implementation of the project by the project committees, parents, school board committee and students overall was at the highest level.
3.7 The results of learning achievement measurement on prevention and problems solving of drug, overall was 79.79 %, when classified as a class, it appears that prathom 4 student had the highest grade the score was 91.81 percent, and prathom 4 student had the highest grade the score was 91.81 % and prathom 1 student had the lowest grade the score was 55.83 %.
3.8 The results of the satisfaction assessment on the Implementation of the project by the students, overall was at the highest level. When considering each item, there are 8 opinions with the highest level and 2 opinions with a high level.
